Black is Back!
Monday, 3 December 2012
It seems to be a winter trend for me to constantly have my nails painted black and last night i decided to bring out the old Barry M in Black for the first time in what feels like an eternity. I think it looks so sleek on your nails with a glossy topcoat and in my opinion is perfect for winter!

November Glossybox
Friday, 23 November 2012
November stocking filler Glossybox is the name for this months beauty box. It is designed to serve as an inspirational gift guide with some of the most celebrated brands that are already known alongside some very exciting newcomers.
- Ayuuri Indian Rose Face Cream
Although this product isn't an expensive one i was very excited to see such a big product in a Glossybox. I seemed to have racked up such a collection of moisturisers at the minute i don't think i'm ever going to run out, especially seeing how big this is!
- Burberry Body Eau de Parfum
Really looking forward to trying this out as i'm slowly starting to get into Burberry products more and more, they seem like such a luxury to have.
- Alison Claire Natural Beauty Body Butter
This is one of the products mentioned as being an exciting newcomer and on first glances it does look a lovely product. Although the packaging is quite simple, for some reason i love it and i can't seem to put it down.
- Nails Inc Top Coat
I already love Nails Inc polish and so at first was a little disappointed that i only received the top coat and not an actual colour however as it has such good reviews and i am in desperate need of a new top coat, i'm pleased i got this product.
- Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
This seems like such an exciting and interesting product that i cant wait to use. After receiving more Dermalogica products in the last Glossybox i have really started to get in to this brand, so i'm sure this is going to be another great product.
Another Little Haul
Saturday, 3 November 2012
Although i love to have all the latest beauty/fashion items, it has to be said that i am a stingy person however recently i haven't been able to stop myself from buying little treats!

Beauty UK Eye Shadow Palette
Monday, 15 October 2012
I was going through my makeup the other day and rediscovered this little palette! And although they are not colours i would initially grab for, they can be worked with. The quality and pigmentation is immense as you will be able to see by the swatches down below. I actually received this product as a present a few years ago and therefore you can't get the exact same one, just one very similar! http://www.beautyukcosmetics.com/products/eyes/eyeshadow/no2-soho
There are a range of different palettes now available from brights such as mine to nudes and pastels. And with them only costing a bargain £3.99 what is not to love!

September Glossybox
Wednesday, 26 September 2012
September Glossybox has arrived! This month Glossybox brought out a limited edition box with a exclusive design by up and coming illustrator Maggie Li, which represents the theme for the box- 'some of the most exciting rising stars across fashion, design and beauty'. The box is a really girly, green and pink design and i have already decided upon items i am going to store in here!

Inside the box:
- Lady Gaga Fame Fragrance 1.2ml
An opulent, crushed floral fragrance that's like black like the soul of frame but transparent once airborne.
Im never too excited about receiving tiny perfume samples that most of the time i barely use however for some reason with this, i want to see what she has created and if it in any way matches her crazy personality! I also am going to make sure i keep it in my handbag to use throughout the day.
-Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum and 5 minute Facial
I know straight away that this one is going to my mum as i am only seventeen so id rather not bomb my face with products that are meant to reduce the appearance of wrinkles when i don't have any to start with! I am still excited to see how my mum fines them though and whether or not she feels they are worth taking the plunge and buying the full size products.
-Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream seven ml
This little one is said to soothe tired eyes, smooth away dark shadows and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Once again i don't have fine lines, yet i'm looking forward to using this as i hate the discolouration around my eyes.
-Vichy Idealia Day Care Cream 15ml
This is said to smooth and illuminate your skins texture and i've heard many good things about vichy skincare so this ones exciting to test out against my usual moisturiser.
-Maghrabian Hair Oil 10ml
I've always wanted to try a hair oil, but never got round to researching and finding one that will work for me so i'm definitely looking forward to trying this out to see if hair oil is my sort of cuppa tea!
Overall, it has to be said that at first viewing i was a little disappointed with this Glossybox due to the very small samples but i am still excited to try out all these products and see what i think!

Satchel Love
Friday, 21 September 2012
I am in love with my satchel! I recently purchased a new satchel for the start of sixth form, as the old one i previously used straps broke whilst still at school. So i went shopping looking to find a new satchel, that would go with most, if not all of my outfits at sixth form and then i found this little beauty in River Island!
September Empties!
So, its getting towards the end of September, time really does fly! and i thought id do a little September empties post.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter
I must have got this a good 3 years ago and was constantly using it for a few months after purchase. I would carry it in my school bag to use as hand cream and people would constantly ask if they could borrow it, the smell being the ultimate pull! From getting new hand creams, i began to use this less until a few months ago where i rediscovered my love! I am now totally in love once again and will definitely be repurchasing (maybe a full size and handbag size bottle!)

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic and Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser
Its got to be said, i love Liz Earle! i have been through numerous bottles (as have many people) of the famous Cleanse and Polish. I also love these two products and am extremely sad to have finished them :(. I will definitely be repurchasing the toner and although i have many other moisturisers that need to be used, i know i will end up buying the Liz Earle moisturiser again. These products smell so clean and fresh and when i use them i can just feel the goodness that it is doing to my skin!
Max Factor Colour Adapt
This is another one of those products where i use around three quarters, then forget about it until a much later date. Well i finally got round to using it all up and clearing some more space! Its nothing special, just like your normal average foundation and i have new favorites now so i wont be repurchasing this, ruthless! ;)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Like so many people i had heard all the reviews so decided to give this one a go! Apart from picking up a bottle with a broken lid, i also really liked it! I literally scraped out the last remains of this (got to get your money worth's!) but all is not lost as i have already purchased a new bottle, this time without a broken lid! Bosh.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
I have been through many bottles of dry shampoo, this one just adds to the list! This one wasn't a full size bottle, just a mini for travelling duties. I don't feel theirs much to say about dry shampoos except it does the job and doesn't leave my hair looking grey! It has gotta be said that Batiste is my favourite dry shampoo brand and i will be repurchasing this must have!

MUA lipstick review
Wednesday, 8 August 2012
I'd heard great things about MUA so a couple of months ago i decided to drop by the makeup stand in Superdrug. I was, however, in a tad of rush so i didn't get the opportunity to browse for long. I was immediately drawn to the lipsticks and so quickly began looking through a few of the shades. Unfortunately for me, being too slow in checking out MUA, there were only a small amount of lipsticks still left at that particular stand. I did still find one that i wanted, with it only costing £1, yes 1 sole quid, i wasn't so bothered that it wasn't entirely right anyway! In my haste to get away, i ended up picking up the wrong shade. The lipstick i somehow managed to buy isn't the usual colour i would go for- shade 9. Its quite a dark, berry shade (a little vampy) when on the lips and although i do like the way it looks, i wouldn't have the confidence to wear it out in public. I have however, realised how good MUA products are for the price, along with many people's reviews and opinions on the brand.
The lipstick itself is well pigmented and feels very nourishing and moisturising when on the lips! The packaging also is very surprising, feeling more expensive than the price tag itself. It also has a colour swatch on one end of the packaging, (something mac lipsticks don't have) a very useful feature when storing lipsticks! Although i do think that the colour looks different in the tube than when actually on the lips. Overall, i have been pleasantly surprised by this lipstick so will definitely be looking to buy lots more MUA products and with most only costing a pound, what could go wrong?!
Olympic Fever!
So, as i'm sure everyone is aware, the Olympics have hit London! I for one have loved the Olympic games so far, especially as i am a keen sport enthusiast- as well as my love for all things beauty and makeup! To coincide with the hours i have spent watching the games, i decided to show my Olympic fever by doing a spot of nail painting!
I am not a nail expert (i wish) and have never been the most imaginative gal, so the nail art wasn't exactly original or perfectly neat for that matter either. But who cares?!
The games have been another great way to get all patriotic, go team GB!
Products used
