5 Minute Natural Makeup - Summer Ready
Saturday, 30 May 2015
As much as i wish i could, i cant go out with zero makeup on; my brows just need some attention! and besides, doing my makeup is something i really enjoy. However there are days when i can't be bothered to slap on a load of makeup, especially in the summer. Recently, my skin has been behaving quite well and with inspiration from Lisa Eldridge, i've stripped back my makeup and i love the results!
Much to my surprise i've been loving the look of my skin with no foundation, opting first for primer (Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer) to slightly even my skin tone and help everything last and then concealer (Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- Fair 1) on any blemishes, redness and under my eyes. I also like to add another concealer (Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti- Fatigue Effect + Radiant Glow Concealer) under my eyes to add extra coverage to my awfully blue under eyes and brighten things up there, especially due to skipping foundation. I recently bought the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and i've been liking blending in my concealer with this. Got to powder to set this in place (Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder - 001 Transparent) and that is base done in under two minutes!

Eyebrows time and as I mentioned in my natter about the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette i've been using Frisk with the Zoeva 317 Wing Liner Brush to keep the brows defined but natural. Back to the skin and sometimes the only thing i've been doing is dusting bronzer (Soap & Glory Solar Powder) all over the skin and then building it up on the cheeks and temples, often with the Real Techniques Multi Task Brush which is a dream!
However sometimes I also like to add a little bit of blusher to my cheeks (Mac Powder Blush- Well Dressed) and a touch of highlighter (Nars Highlighting Blush Powder- Albatross) to the tops of my cheekbones, my cupids bow and whatevers left on the brush down the nose and in the centre of the forehead as highlighter is my current obsession.
A quick curl of the lashes (Shu Umera Eyelash Curlers) and then a coat of mascara (L'Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara- Black) before often finishing with the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Chic which is a perfect peachy, pinky nude for spring/ summer. If your normally a stubborn matte lipstick kinda gal like me, give this lipgloss a go as it will definitely make you change your ways and opt for gloss a lot more.
ASOS Wishlist #3
Thursday, 28 May 2015
Another year has passed and ASOS is still my favourite shop, online or on the highstreet. Period. It literally has everything. Although i've recently placed two quite large orders on the site, my saved items page still has a whopping 63 items on it, whoops! My two previous ASOS Wishlists #1 #2, were in autumn winter and as its almost June this wishlist has much more of a summery vibe. Maybe this will give you inspiration for your next purchases, all in time for summer holidays! All the photos have links to the item in case you too want to buy!

Haulin' Some Beauty Products
Friday, 22 May 2015
I'm back with another haul of recently bought items, featuring high street, high end and skincare bits!
L'Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara
I rarely repurchase mascaras as i like to try out lots of different ones, and i still don't think i've found the 'one' for me. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews of this mascara, some people claiming its one of their faves and other people hating it but i thought id give it a whirl and see which category i fall in.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- Fair 1
Just another repurchase of this trusty concealer, everyone knows the drill with this, such a good concealer so cheap!
Nars Highlighting Blush Powder- Albatross
I'd been eyeing this up for a while, although to be honest when am i not eyeing anything from Nars up, and i'm having a bit of a love affair with highlighters at the minute and when ASOS (my saviour) were having a 30% off beauty sale, it was the perfect opportunity. I'm so excited to use this however it almost looks too beautiful to use!
Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer
I've seen a lot of good reviews about this and its often hard to find decent highstreet/drugstore primers, so i'm looking forward to seeing how i fare.
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic & Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
I've gone through so many bottles of Liz Earle Cleanser and whenever i stop using it my skin goes crazy at me, so it was time to stock up. My skins been looking quite dull recently and as i love the Cleanser so much i thought i'd try the toner as it claims to refresh, soothe and brighten your skin, perfect!

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette
Tuesday, 19 May 2015
This is the cooler toned, newer version of the original Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette which i own and also love. Sometimes, i think that cooler toned eye-shadows actually suit me better, especially when i'm wanting a really natural daytime look.
Once again Naked Basics 2 comes in the same packaging as the original, making it perfect for travelling and containing 6 eyeshadows; 1 satin and 5 mattes. However, unfortunately for me, only 4 mattes. When i opened it, undone, the darkest shade in the palette, was smashed and although i did try to use it for a few days it would just spill everywhere and make a mess. This was probably due to it spending its early life in a suitcase. I wasn't that bothered when i first saw as i thought it would be the shade i would use the least however since then i often find myself wanting definition at the lash line and thinking black is too dark but primal (the second darkest shade in the palette) isn't quite dark enough. However there are much worse things in life that could be wrong, so i'm not complaining!
The shades skimp, frisk and cover are my most used and are perfect for my quick, everyday look. I first use frisk for my eyebrows. I find that this shade is perfect for my fair eyebrows, adding definition but still looking natural as it has no red/ brown in it. I actually used to use Naked 2 from the original Naked Basics Palette (before getting scared i would run out) as they are similar shades, with frisk being more grey toned, however they both work perfectly.
For my eyes i like to put skimp, the satin shade, all over the lid and under the brow to highlight and then work cover into my crease and outer corner, often with the Real Techniques Essential Crease Brush as it is perfect for my small eyes. I then mix a bit of frisk with cover and smudge that under my lower lash line for a lil' bit of definition. And that's that! My everyday eyeshadow done, in under 2 minutes!
